We have taken seven of our favourite Adinkra symbols of the Akan people of Ghana and applied these motifs to a collection of hand pierced brass earrings, embellished with dazzling precious, semi precious gems, beads and pearl. These are show stoppers! no two pairs alike.

Adinkra is a visual language of motifs which have aphorisms and concepts that the Akan people apply to their lives. These symbols can be seen in Pottery, textile print and architectural features.

Gye Nyame translates to ' Except for God' and speaks to the omnipotence of God. It is one of the most readily recognised motifs. This pair of earrings feature Turquoise, pink Rhodochrosite, seed pearl, Prehnite. 10 cm long. sterling silver hooks, gold tone finish.
