Jewellery Care

Aggrey Jewellery is made with care, using precious metals, precious and semi-precious gemstones that  require care to keep in the best condition. Jewellery should be stored in a pouch or box. Separate pieces to avoid rub and wear.

Hang necklaces and avoid wearing your pearls in warm water.

Sterling silver does tarnish; brighten with a soft cotton cloth using a specialized cleaning product. The best way to avoid tarnish is to wear your jewellery regularly or store in a suitable box.

To return lustre to your gemstones use a small amount of gentle liquid soap and a soft brush to remove built up dirt and oils. Rinse in cool water.

Avoid wearing your jewellery in the ocean, hot pools, chlorine pools or when undertaking rigorous activity. Remove jewellery before sleep to avoid tangle and damage.

Brass can cause skin to discolour depending on ones PH Levels. This is not harmful, in fact it can be beneficial to your health and it does wash away.

Plated jewellery gives you the luxury look of gold at a fraction of the cost but  requires extra care. To maximize our 22 kt gold plating, it is important to not spray perfume near or on your jewellery and avoid contact with harsh surfaces as this will wear away the plating.
Jewellery can be re plated - please contact us for pricing for this service.
